Bill has been the CFO at Greenbriar since 1992. He has over 43 years experience in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource and Management. After graduating from Sanford Brown Business College in 1976, he started his career as a Credit Union Office Manager at C.V. Mosby Company. From there Bill joined General Steel’s Corporate office as a staff accountant and internal auditor. He has held the position of Controller at manufacturing and architectural firms before joining Greenbriar in 1992. Bill is entrusted with managing the Club Accounting , Human Resources as well as the Club’s Finances.

Shawn was the Head Assistant at Greenbriar from 2011-2020. He left briefly to fill the role of Head Superintendent at Wolf Hollow Golf Club in Labadie, MO. He returned in the summer of 2021 to fill the role as Head Superintendent at Greenbriar. Shawn also held the title of Head Assistant for ten years at the Falls Golf Course in O’Fallon, MO. Shawn has an Associates of Applied Science with an emphasis in Horticulture and Golf course maintenance from Linn State Technical College. Shawn is entrusted with the maintenance, operations and construction of the golf course and clubhouse house grounds.

Matt grew up in St. Jacob, IL, about 15 miles east of St. Louis. He played collegiate golf at the University of Illinois and began his professional career at The Virginian Golf Club after graduation. He earned his Class A PGA certification in February 2002 and joined the Greenbriar Hills professional staff in October 2002. Both Matt and his wife Laurie are from Illinois, making it a great opportunity to move back home and start a family. They are proud parents of their daughter Morgan, who shares his passion for golf and plays at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Matt was honored with the Assistant Golf Professional of the Year Award by the Gateway PGA Section in 2007. He advanced to the PGA Professional National Championship in 2018 and has won 5 Gateway PGA tournaments. He loves teaching golfers of all ages and skill levels and values mentoring aspiring golf professionals to help them advance in their careers.

Chef Anthony Lyons is a native of Tipperary, Ireland and came to work at Greenbriar in 1994. He was the Sous Chef at GHCC for several years. Chef Anthony has held several positions in St Louis at various other clubs and Hospitality Programs. Chef Anthony is a Certified Executive Chef with the American Culinary Federation. He has a culinary degree from the Galway/Mayo institute of technology and is an active Member of the St Louis Chefs de Cuisine. Chef Anthony is a Past President of the Chefs de Cuisine and has held several other positions for the organization, such as junior culinary team coach and program and education chair. Chef Anthony has won several medals in competition and in 2012 he was the St Louis Chapter Chef of the year. He coaches and mentors aspiring chefs working towards certification.

Allyson Sewester, our Director of Membership and Marketing, brings creativity and a collaborative spirit to the team. Originally from Chesterfield, Missouri, she graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Administration. Before joining the club, Allyson served as Club Development Manager for Chicago Rush Soccer Club in Oswego, Illinois, where she worked closely with players and families to grow programs, strengthen communication, and coach three youth soccer teams. With experience in digital marketing, social media, and creative content—including photography, videography, and graphic design—Allyson enjoys using visual storytelling to connect with people and highlight the spirit of our club. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, going to the gym, and cooking.
